Original Post Cards

These three post cards of the North Platte Canteen were picked up by Frank Nolte when his troop train stopped at the North Platte Canteen during World War II. It is these three post cards and a Furlough Train Ticket that are responsible for How This Web Site Got Started.

I discovered these two post cards of the North Platte Canteen in a verical file at the North Platte Public Library. The last picture is the backside of one of these post cards. It is my understanding that Union Pacific Railroad published these cards and were distributed to the servicemen and women free as they passed through North Platte.
